Who is this Robert Lee fellow anyhow?

I don't know how you got to this site, maybe you already know me in person and decided to just see what was on this new page, or maybe you found me through Google by searching for "my friends elder sister is very sexy to me." (Someone did in fact search for that and somehow ended up here. I know, it's weird). Either way, I will tell you.

I'm Robert Lee and I was born in '86. Lee is actually my middle name and not my last. I am indeed named after the civil war general, indirectly though, because I'm actually named after my grandfather and he was the one who is truly named for the general. I am not racist however, at least as far as I know.

I am currently attending music school as a piano performance major. My dream job at one point was to score for films, but I'd say now it's to be a Christian apologetics writer. Or maybe to simply be involved in ministry in some form or another. I started out as a computer science major at Georgia Tech, believe it or not, and I am actually planning on transferring back soon to continue that field of study. The reason I transfered to study music in the first place was because I simply realized that I wouldn't be happy for the rest of my life if I didn't have the education and technique of a pianist that majored in music. So that's why I'm here. Thought after three years of studying piano, I think I've learned what I came here to learn. In the end, I really don't know what I'll end up doing as a career. I may end up being a youth pastor for all I know. I'm just trying to follow God one step at a time right now.

I'm a Christian and I (try to) put Jesus at the center of my life. I grew up Presbyterian, but I have no investment in any specific doctrine, only in the belief that Jesus is and was the son of God and died and rose again for my sins. That's really all that is needed. Just in college, however, I felt for the first time that I gained a true person-to-person relationship with Jesus, and that has changed my life forever. And for the much better. To see what I'm talking about, check out this blog entry. I can't stress enough how awesome our God is. For that reason, I hope that this website with all of my blog entries, or at least the semi-spiritual ones, will give you a glimpse into how I am alive in Christ and only through him.

Which brings me to my final point. Why do I have this website?

Number one, to try to let others see my enthusiasm for Christ. If I change one person's view in a positive way on Christianity, then everything is worth it. But aside from all this Jesus stuff, there are other reasons I spend countless hours on here. One is simply self-expression. I really enjoy posting my thoughts and beliefs on here for all and anyone to see. And self-expression through my music too. I'm used to be a music composition major, so this is where I put my stuff. And finally, it's a sandbox for my web skills. There are a decent number of little web gadgets on this website that aren't truly necessary. They are there simply for me to learn how to use them and get good at using them. I don't know if I want to do freelance web developing any time soon, but web developing has always been a very big hobby of mine and I'm sure it will continue to be.

Oh yeah, and just so you know, the whole idea behind the quotes on the background of my site is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek. I'm not that conceited.

So, I hope some of your questions have been answered. Maybe I'll see you around.
